The Surface Length Velocimeter (SLV) is an ideal tool for shorter standoff distances from 1 to 65mm. The optics and processing unit are fully integrated into a small and compact housing unit, and can measure velocity in either 1 or 2 directions. Options for measuring speed without direction are also available.
The SLV is a non-contact sensor with an exceptional capacity to measure the speed and length of dynamic surfaces, as well as oversized particles such as sand and abrasive materials. The SLV has carved its niche as an indispensable tool in various manufacturing industries from textiles to extrusions, as well as vertical motion and vertical positioning monitoring, with many research applications as well.
